Working with Shaheja and Asad was so easy – all they did was play with one another for their entire engagement session at Jackson Park’s Wooded Island (just south of the Museum of Science and Industry).
But it wasn’t just their characters that were at the island that evening. The weather was moody, windy, thick with summer warmth and humidity. It was so incredibly CHICAGO SUMMER the entire evening. Bits of sun cleared through the branches of large trees at the park.
They chose Wooded Island as their engagement session location because that is where Asad proposed to Shaheja. It was special to them.
Those kind of special touches are what make a session like this so important: it’s comfortable, familiar, has meaning to the couple. It’s less about the “coolness” factor and more about the substance of where they’re being photographed.
But enough of the portrait session tips. I’ll let the photographs speak of their love for on another.
